Dr. Jean Kantambu Latting has over 25 years of executive coaching, consulting, and research experience, specializing in inclusive leadership and conscious change. She is known for her dynamic, inspiring, and impactful approach, partnering with leaders to identify goals and harness strengths to overcome barriers and create conscious change.  

Dr. Jean uses practical, real-world approaches and various theoretical frameworks to assist clients in influencing people and navigating systems based on the clients’ individual circumstances, personal backgrounds, and professional goals. 

Clients describe her coaching practice as filled with wisdom, candid experiences, and a deep understanding of human nature. As one client put it, “When I was struggling with leading through conflict, Jean’s coaching and stories became a lifeline, and today, I still carry and quote the lessons she taught me. As President of Leading Consciously, and Professor Emerita of Leadership and Change at the Graduate College of Social Work, University ofHouston, she has authored two books and over 25 papers on conscious change, leadership, team effectiveness, resistance to change, and overcoming biases.

Jean Kantambu Latting, DrPH, LMSW-IPR is President of Leading Consciously, LLC, and Professor Emerita at the Graduate College ofSocial Work, University of Houston. The Jean Kantambu Latting Professorship of Leadership and Change was endowed by renowned philanthropist Maconda BrownO’Connor. As consultant, researcher, and educator, Jean focuses on leadership in multicultural and diverse organizations. She co-authored Reframing Change: How to Deal with Workplace Dynamics, Influence Others, and Bring People Together to Initiate Positive Change.
